Who We Are
A+ Skills Tutoring was founded in 2004 by Debbie Mandell, an educator with over 30 years of experience in Greenwich, Connecticut. Debbie’s illustrious career spanned roles as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and administrator at the elementary and middle school levels. Her academic credentials include a Master of Science in Reading and a Sixth-Year Degree in Administration and Supervision, reflecting her deep commitment to education.
In 2017, Debbie passed the torch to Addam Cohn, a passionate and forward-thinking graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University. Under Addam’s leadership, A+ Skills Tutoring has embraced 21st-century technology while remaining steadfast in its dedication to the philosophy that every student deserves personalized, high-quality tutoring.
In June 2021, Addam expanded the business to Dallas-Fort Worth, and hired a hard-working and dedicated recent college graduate, Zach Harter, to take his place in Naples. Zach graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Zach has continued improving Addam’s work, further directing the business onto the cutting edge of education technology. Through collaborative efforts, the A+ management team has achieved remarkable milestones, including opening two new offices in Texas, growing client loyalty and expanding services in Naples, and rapidly scaling online tutoring services to reach students of all ages, anywhere in the world.
Together, Debbie, Addam, and Zach have built a dynamic team of certified educators with advanced degrees and extensive teaching experience. Our tutors are more than instructors; they are mentors, coaches, and partners in each student’s success.
